Design Journey: WALLAMAX 1 PROTO

Yooo peace! whats up? If you made it this far I’d Like to thank you for lending your eyes. I’'ll start by saying that I am not a professional writer or a journalist so don’t expect elite grammar and punctuation. This is not that. You will be disappointed. With that being said…! If you would’ve asked me 10 years ago would I be into footwear design I’d would have 100% said YES. My passion for footwear begins with my love for the game. Nothing made players more special than having their own signature shoe. Take Mike for example.. when people put on his shoes they really think they can play like him or even fly! For a product to evoke that kind of emotion and confidence is something I believe is really special. Fast forward to today I’m still that same kid wanting to feel those feelings whenever i open a new box of fresh kicks. I assume that if you’re reading this you may know exactly what I’m talking about. If not you are truly missing out. Like many of us.. Ive always wanted to know what it’d be like to actually make and design your own shoe. I have come to learn that there is so much to learn about to really produce a shoe from start to finish… not to mention how expensive it is.. now I see why there aren't many footwear brands.. its not easy! So for me my curiosity got the best of me and this shoe is the result. I call it the WALLAMAX 1 Proto. Its simply the removal of a Wallabee Chukka Boot Upper and gluing An Airmax 1 midsoleto it. It gives a Sporty but Upscale look and its functionality could be used for light jogs and walks around the park. With better materials and a more in-depth process this could be a premium lifestyle shoe. This is just the start of my footwear design journey and I hope you enjoy the ride.
